12/6: Magnify's Very Thirsty Caterpillar

I’m swayed by this beer’s literary reference (aw), backed up by its adorable can art. A little research tells me that Magnify’s Head of Production shares a name with the author of The Very Hungry Caterpillar (though I think Magnify’s Eric Carlle with one more “l” in his last name than the renowned children’s author does).

Appearance: Hazy, dontcha know. Musty yellow with a quickly dissipating head. Moderate lacing.

Aroma: Juicy, obviously, but some pineapple in with the expected orange, as well as some herbal notes. What are those notes? Some rose and grassiness from the Mosaic?

The Huell dry-hopping should give some honeydew, but I come up blank on that front, personally. (And then, of course, as soon as you research the hop profile, you think, “Or, wait… Actually... Come to think of it.... Don’t I get the slightest whiff of honeydew here? I do. I definitely do get some dew.”)

Taste: Moderate bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Pretty clean. Carbonation cleans the tongue to get you ready for another sip.

Remember this classic from elementary school?
